We’re hiring an SEO Specialist.
Location: St. Louis, MO (hybrid if 35+ minute commute)
Type: Full-time
Comp: $60,000 – $70,000
A little about us first…
Intergetik has been around since 2006. We’re a digital marketing agency based in St. Louis, with a growing presence in Kansas City. We specialize in three lanes: web design and development, paid advertising, and SEO. Our clients are mostly B2B and home services companies who treat us as long-term partners, not short-term vendors.
We’re not a giant agency, and we don’t want to be. We’ve spent the last few years building something we’re proud of: a tight, capable team that does great work for clients we actually like. Tenure on our team is long. Trust runs deep. People here own their work.
If you’re looking for the corporate agency experience — endless meetings, layers of approval, billable-hour pressure — this isn’t that.
If you’re looking for a place where you can actually do the work you love, own your function, and grow into a senior role over time, keep reading.
The role
We need someone to own SEO at Intergetik.
You’d be running strategy and execution for active client accounts across industries like manufacturing, professional services, home services, healthcare, and more. The work includes:
- Technical SEO audits and implementation
- On-page optimization, keyword research, content briefing
- Client-facing reporting and monthly review calls (yes, you’ll talk to clients directly)
- Working alongside our paid ads specialist, web team, and project managers on integrated marketing strategies
- Staying sharp on the AI Search and AEO landscape and helping our clients adapt
- Occasional content for our blog, newsletter, and social; we want our experts visible
- Bringing your own ideas about how SEO at Intergetik should grow

Who we’re looking for
We hire on character first. Trainable skills come second.
- You’re a craftsperson. You go down rabbit holes. You get genuinely excited about a clever schema implementation or a content gap you spotted. SEO is interesting to you, not just a job.
- You communicate directly. When you disagree, you say so. When something’s broken, you flag it. You don’t dress up bad news for clients — you help them understand it.
- You think about the client’s business. A 5% lift in organic traffic isn’t a win if it didn’t move qualified leads. You ask why before you ask what.
- You run your own week. You don’t need a manager telling you what to do every day. You set priorities, ask for help when you need it, and own your function.
- You’re humble. The SEO landscape changes constantly. The people who think they have it figured out are usually the ones falling behind.
Who we’re not looking for
- Anyone who pitches “tricks” or shortcuts that violate Google guidelines
- Anyone whose strategy starts with “let’s generate a bunch of AI content”
- Anyone who needs to be micromanaged
- Resume hoppers without good reason for short tenures
What working here actually looks like
- We run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) with weekly meetings and quarterly rocks
- You’d report day-to-day to the project manager and receive operational support from our Operations Manager
- Hybrid work is an option if commute is over 35 minutes from the office
- Real autonomy on your client accounts; you own the relationship and the work
- A team that actually likes each other and is rooting for each other
- Annual reviews with real comp progression for strong performers
The benefits
- $60k-$70k base, depending on experience
- Health Insurance (after 60 days of tenure)
- 401k with employer match (after 1 year of tenure)
- Paid time off
- Professional development budget for education and growth
How to apply
Email info@intergetik.com with three things:
- Your resume
- A few sentences about a recent SEO win you’re proud of and why
- A few sentences about an SEO trend or change you think most people are getting wrong right now
We read every application personally. We’ll get back to you within a week or two.
Our interview process is three conversations:
- A 30-minute initial call to make sure we’re aligned on the basics
- A 60-minute deeper conversation with our team
- A working session where we look at a real client situation together
We’re aiming to have someone start by August.
